Everything I have promised, I will always try to get it done. It is my life, my discipline. Here is the sharing on my Cambodia trip.
Cambodia, one of the 3rd world countries with technologies has fallen far behind compared to other well-developed countries. As what I observed, the tourism business is a very powerful weapon (income) for them to improve the country’s long-suffering economy, eradication the entrenched culture of corruption and impunity.
Part 1: We are having a good life…
The most interesting sharing always lingering in my mind is not about those historical places, but is about cambodians’ life.

Photo 1 - Poor life with clothes-less & shaky housing.
Photo 2 - A kid has to know how to sail a boat.
Photo 3 - Kids have to stay on the boat with parent to fulfill their daily rice bowl.
Photo 4 - Competitive water business which is involved of kids.
In our daily life, we always do complaint & comparison. "no money la or money not enough lor…; the food is not nice ler…; shit la, my job is so tiring and boring…; (s)he has a better life; etc". I agree that sometimes we need to do comparison in order to improve ourselves. But, just never complain too much. Every time you think about those poor life people, it can ease of your mind and let you clam down.
Recalling my childhood time at age < 7, I’m staying a place which is at the valley (bottom) of Cameron Highland. Opposite of my wooden house are the Orang Asli housing area. Their houses are made of trunk (base, wall & floor) and leaf (rooftop). Some of them are my parents’ friends. I spent quite a lot time with them. How to communicate with them since I’m still a kid and they are not good in language as well?! Kid time, are the most shy-less time to do everything as you like. So, I’m just always shake my body, hands, legs & head (head need to shake in both ways, depend - vertically & horizontally). Those kind of body languages are work just well.
Their (Orang Asli) life are similar to those cambodians in Photo 1. OMG, do I clothe-less at my childhood time with them? hmm… cannot recall anymore. Their life are poor, but a tiny things might just enough make them feel happy. I think, they know the life is hard, but they will just live on and try to enjoy the life. Sometimes, a simple life will be a good solution for us to make life happier. Complicated thinking will always make us fall in trap of enjoy-less life.
Appreciate… I managed to learn from them… I will always answer to my friends that I having a good life always.
Part 2: Aging Stones & Tree Visit
hmm… I don’t know what to write. I think it is depend on whether you like to visit those historical places. This trip is more on seeing those historical stone with many type of faces, statue, and the brilliant act-works on how they are going to build all the buildings for the empire. To describe some things, a picture is worth a thousand words. Share upon request
or maybe looking for a website to upload.
It was a gang of 6 persons in the trip and for 5days. Siem Leap was the 1st destination & the final destination was Phnom Penh. Oh ya… Phnom Bakheng hill is a MUST visit place! You will get stunned by the stunning view.
There is a place for sunset viewing & able see the most famous place, Angkor Wat from the top. The overall cost is less but close to RM 1k. The transportation from Penang to KL and two-ways fly between KL - Cambodia is RM400+. What do you think? It is worth for sure.

Comparison will make you fall in difficult situation, but will give you strength for improvement as well. Just depend on what kind/which type of comparison. Take it wisely.
