Dscf1235Here to recommend a magazine, named Personal Money.
It is a financial guide magazine. Let you know how to spend, keep, invest, save and plan your capital. Learn to be a smart user, investor and planner in order to manage your financial. Still reading slow because I’m not a good reader, which is a not advisable habit…

It did told how to purchase a new house and also to avoid terrible interest of housing loan. Thus, I have visited EPF website [http://www.kwsp.gov.my/], found that I’m actually affordable to purchase a house with a minimum 10% of down payment needed. :) In Island Penang, a normal apartment at least cost you RM200K above. For landed house, it cost at least RM400 above! The price is really sick… I like Penang lifestyle but not the pricing for a house. DAP can do something? haha…

Influent of talking to someone’s childhood time

February 11th, 2008 by whytoocare

I
still remember the improper "golden sentence" that gave me a negative
effect during my childhood time. It is a quite common sentence for a
lot of people, but it isn’t a normal sentence for a child still in
intensive of learning stage.

"Do big thing after meal"; 吃饱就去大便.

I was participated in a contest in my primary school. Members were
grouped by all level of ages, primary 1,2,3,4,5 & 6. I guess I
was primary 3 at that time. If not mistaken, I managed to answer all
the questions correctly, except a "tricky" one. The question is… What
will you do before your meal? Accidentally, I catch the question
wrongly. I thought she asked, "What will you do after your meal?". So,
I answered, "go toilet give a booooom"! Just the teacher laughing non
stop because I answered with a low volume and not able to listen by
others, luckily. My face turned red. =.="
What a funny joke I ever made in my life?!

I made 2 mistakes there. 1st, the correct answer is wash hand before
meal if I didn’t get the question wrongly. 2nd, I should answer do cleaning if I get the question wrongly. Both mistake were lead by an
improper talking from older people to a child…

Anyway, it gave me a memorable joke in my life.

Watch

December 26th, 2007 by whytoocare

Father_gift
Do you see a watch with 25hours before? Yes, I did.
Dude, it is just a brand name for the watch <25 hours>.
This watch is memorable watch in my life. It is a gift from my father, who has passed away during my age of 21. Actually, this watch was bought by my sister and gifted to my father. Father told that he still having one on hand, so, he gave it to me. I can’t remember the exact year when my father presented it to me. This is the most closest thing that enable me to always remember of him. I started to be heavy hearted to wearing this watch all the time since after I did missed it for 2 days, which I forgotten the exact place I put. So, I have decided to buy a new watch in order keep it in a safe place.

Christmas_gift
2007 Christmas eve, I bought a new watch! Brand is CASIO. It come with a black flame and it is a digital and analog building style. Cool… Price? It tag with a price before I buy. Now, it is priceless and not for sale. :) There is a story behind for this watch… yeah… it is behind… that’s why not to tell… Besides, I have a good simple plan on this Christmas eve. It is relax and enjoy…

On 25-Dec itself, unexpected, I have to work until 9pm by get in at afternoon time. Production issue… issue… and issue… It spoiled my day with unsolved result at the end of the day.

Finally, I have solved the issue by the day after yesterday, today. This is the present for my pay-off for yesterday… satisfaction!

I’m older now =.=”

October 7th, 2007 by whytoocare

Here to do a remark to my status changed. I’m an uncle now. :)

Last Friday, 5-Oct-2007, I received a call from my brother. It is quite weird when he started to talk. I cannot recall the complete msg, but it was related to time, weight and excitement of expression. I’m quite blur at first, but after a few conversation msg, I started to understand. Time & weight are related to a new baby and the excitement is from the father of the new baby.

Congratulation to my brother to get the 1st child. What is her name? hmm… dun know now, but sooner will do…

Looking forward to listen "uncle……" :)

From Hero to Zero

September 26th, 2007 by whytoocare

Working for 2 years plus, I should be good enough in term of financial stability. Anyhow, is time for me to stabilize my financial over again. I have finished my car loan few months ago. It is great to live without any installment that keep pressing on you. Car loan is finished, but yet to pay back the deposit of the car purchased to my sister’s husband. hm… i owe him for more than 2 years and not feeling good to drag him anymore. I have promised myself to pay it back to him asap since I have worked for 1 and half year.
I have spent enough recently for oversea trip, and 2 concerts. It is worth to spend those money because I’m so appreciate my friends who willing to share their valuable time with me. Ask for more, is for sure, but only available by next year. I can only support on the normal entertainment activity now.
Is feeling weird when your saving money change from a hero to zero. But, also feel releasing when I have done my part as a honest borrower. Actually, I personally do not believe that a good person will get good return for everything (s)he done. It is uneasy to be a good person. To be a good person, sometimes, you have to pay your effort by expecting some unexpected negative return. Anyway, the principle is… just do it.

Again, from something to nothing, I have been assigned to taking care of new product in my job. It is uneasy to do the half-done tasks on this handover. Need to familiarize on the new product again. Need to get close to those people who get involve of the product. Some more need to handover my task to another person who will take care of my previous role. I’m in the middle, pulling strong from the back and pushing slow to in front. Is okay because that is the working culture that we should adapt in every company. You can’t run away from the issues, messy tasks, etc.

From a dynamic life to a normal life. I have a good time for the past few months. Life is up and down with enjoy and tension. It is good if I’m allow to sustain it forever. But, I’m just a normal human with limitation on physical energy and emotional/mind control. We are not super(wo)men; we won’t able to be a perfect person, but we always can be a better person. We will get tiring. It will deteriorate faster if without good support from behind. Without support, we can fight alone, but not long; with support, we can always fight better and longer.
Converting to a normal life seem like going back to a boring life? hm… maybe… but is a good time for me to challenge my discipline and thinking on keep learning new knowledge. Should say… going a new chapter of life —  toward knowledge maturity as a aging person.

A Boring Weekend

September 9th, 2007 by whytoocare

Weekday & weekend… Seem like the popularity between both words are sided to weekend. Weekend can let us enjoy and relax… but when you have nothing to do, it just make you feel soooo boring. hmmm…

For most of the time, I didn’t go out just because of loyalty. :p What is that mean?! Haha… is a secret… Related to the word of "secret", a recent movie of Jay Chou, named after it. Overall, the movie is quite nice. Jay Chou did improved a lot on acting if compared to the 2 previous movies. The main song of the movie is damn nice. Dumb up!

I almost done nothing for this weekend. I don’t feel good with this kind of do-nothing-weekend. Should I ignore my loyalty to pull me out from this kind of condition? hmm…

Before, I did told myself go to bookshop more often during weekend. But I just can’t make it for most of the time. Guess what, the boring mood pushed me to do that during this afternoon. Sometimes, the negative thing will be an encouragement for us to move on. I have spent about 3hours at Borders Bookshop with 3 selected books. Two books are related to investment and one book is about travel guide of Japan.

I started with "The Little Book of Common Sense Investing". Umm… is a quite interesting book. It seem like able to get some useful knowledge on how to do investment. Here is one of the chapter written in the book.
<http://media.wiley.com/product_data/excerpt/01/04701021/0470102101.pdf>
It cost RM60+. I still thinking of whether to buy it or finish the reading by do more visits to Borders. hmm… I prefer to read it over and over at home in order to fully understand every single points of the investment ideas. Should I?
Here is some details of the author:
<John C. Bogle, 77, is Founder of The Vanguard Group, Inc., and President of Vanguard’s Bogle Financial Markets Research Center.>
Unbelievable, such a high profile person has his own eBlog. :)
<http://www.johncbogle.com/>

The 2nd investment book is "The Four Pillars of Investing". hmm… It seem like nothing special before I read it. OMG, once I read, the author mentioned that if you unable to capture the concepts of all FOUR PILLARS of investing, your investment wealth will get diminish as well. It seem like interesting now. :) Anyhow, "The Little Book of Common Sense Investing" give me a better feeling. Always, the outlook of the thing doesn’t matter because I will move on based on my feeling.

The 3rd book, seem like I’m unable to get any good guide on OSAKA. So, I just take a few minutes look before I decided to go back home. Argghhh… finally I did something meaningful to my weekend. :)

I will not to hide myself in room, but "hide" myself at a new world, bookshop.

A 3rd World Country - Cambodia

September 7th, 2007 by whytoocare

Everything I have promised, I will always try to get it done. It is my life, my discipline. Here is the sharing on my Cambodia trip.

Cambodia, one of the 3rd world countries with technologies has fallen far behind compared to other well-developed countries. As what I observed, the tourism business is a very powerful weapon (income) for them to improve the country’s long-suffering economy, eradication the entrenched culture of corruption and impunity.

Part 1: We are having a good life…

The most interesting sharing always lingering in my mind is not about those historical places, but is about cambodians’ life.

Photo 1 - Poor life with clothes-less & shaky housing.
Photo 2 - A kid has to know how to sail a boat.
Photo 3 - Kids have to stay on the boat with parent to fulfill their daily rice bowl.
Photo 4 - Competitive water business which is involved of kids.

In our daily life, we always do complaint & comparison. "no money la or money not enough lor…; the food is not nice ler…; shit la, my job is so tiring and boring…; (s)he has a better life; etc". I agree that sometimes we need to do comparison in order to improve ourselves. But, just never complain too much. Every time you think about those poor life people, it can ease of your mind and let you clam down. :)

Recalling my childhood time at age < 7, I’m staying a place which is at the valley (bottom) of Cameron Highland. Opposite of my wooden house are the Orang Asli housing area. Their houses are made of trunk (base, wall & floor) and leaf (rooftop). Some of them are my parents’ friends. I spent quite a lot time with them. How to communicate with them since I’m still a kid and they are not good in language as well?! Kid time, are the most shy-less time to do everything as you like. So, I’m just always shake my body, hands, legs & head (head need to shake in both ways, depend - vertically & horizontally). Those kind of body languages are work just well. :) Their (Orang Asli) life are similar to those cambodians in Photo 1. OMG, do I clothe-less at my childhood time with them? hmm… cannot recall anymore. Their life are poor, but a tiny things might just enough make them feel happy. I think, they know the life is hard, but they will just live on and try to enjoy the life. Sometimes, a simple life will be a good solution for us to make life happier. Complicated thinking will always make us fall in trap of enjoy-less life.

Appreciate… I managed to learn from them… I will always answer to my friends that I having a good life always. :)

Part 2: Aging Stones & Tree Visit

hmm… I don’t know what to write. I think it is depend on whether you like to visit those historical places. This trip is more on seeing those historical stone with many type of faces, statue, and the brilliant act-works on how they are going to build all the buildings for the empire. To describe some things, a picture is worth a thousand words. Share upon request :) or maybe looking for a website to upload.

It was a gang of 6 persons in the trip and for 5days. Siem Leap was the 1st destination & the final destination was Phnom Penh. Oh ya… Phnom Bakheng hill is a MUST visit place! You will get stunned by the stunning view. :) There is a place for sunset viewing & able see the most famous place, Angkor Wat from the top. The overall cost is less but close to RM 1k. The transportation from Penang to KL and two-ways fly between KL - Cambodia is RM400+. What do you think? It is worth for sure.
